Either a mother, a man who believes he is the father, or the State of
Idaho, if the mother or child receives public benefits, can file a paternity case
requesting the man named in the case be declared the legal father of a
child.
In a Paternity Case either the man can agree he is the legal father or
DNA test results may be obtained. Child support will also be decided in a
paternity case. Once paternity has been established, the Court may then
consider custody and parenting time issues.
Whether you are a mother who needs to establish paternity and begin
receiving child support, or a father who has been served with Paternity court
documents against which you need to defend, we can help. Or maybe you’re a parent who needs to modify child support based on an income change? No matter the specific circumstances of your child support case, you need to make sure you have an experienced child support attorney to guide you through the process. A child support dispute could seriously impact you and your child now and for many years in the future.
At DENA MOORE LAW GROUP, a family law attorney with experience
handling child support matters will meet with you to evaluate your case,
explain what you can expect at every stage in the process, and identify your
options going forward.
